The Office of Equity & Inclusion Programs (OEI) oversees several scholarship programs. These scholarships (HEOP, BOP, and ECO) support high-achieving low-income and middle-income students at Bard through a pre-college Summer Program, supplemental advising, peer mentor program and access to resources through graduation and beyond. We are looking for students for whom academics are important, who enjoy big, challenging questions, and who are invested in utilizing resources to support them academically and personally.

BOP Scholarship Supplemental Questions Please use the space below to reflect on the following two questions:
1. Reflect on a time when you had to adapt to an unfamiliar environment. Describe the challenges you faced during this transition and explain the strategies you used to manage and overcome them. How did this experience shape your approach to new situations? 2. Describe how you have been involved in your local community. How do you plan to engage with the Bard community and contribute to it, both academically and socially? There is not a strict word limit for responses, but our general expectation is a minimum of 450 words to address both questions.
These reflections should expand upon the information and personal statements already provided on the Common Application.
