The Distinguished Scientist Scholars (DSS) program awards scholarships to students majoring in the natural sciences or mathematics. DSS scholarships cover up to full tuition for four years. Transfer students are also eligible for DSS funding. High school students and transfer students committed to majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, computer science, or mathematics are encouraged to apply. If awarded, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and moderate into the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Computing while earning at least 32 credits per year. Scholarship recipients are also eligible for a $1,500 stipend for summer research projects following their sophomore and junior years. Participants are selected on the basis of the criteria listed above, transcript and financial need.What to submit: One of the two required recommendations on your application must be completed by a laboratory science, mathematics, or computer science instructor. Their contact information must be included on this form submission. Please note: Students transferring after only one year of college must submit a high school transcript with their application. Applicants who will be receiving an Associates Degree will only need to supply a college transcript.
